Nina Altuve was born Giannina ElizabethCimetta Sandoval on February 2, 1992 in Maracay, Aragua, Venezuela. She grew up in Venezuela and holds citizenship of the country. Nina is the only daughter of her parents, who she raised alongside her two brothers, Alfredo David and Justo Emilio.
Nina married Jose Altuve on November 20, 2006. After their marriage, she continued her education at university and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in bioanalytics from the University of Carabobo in Venezuela. For his part, during her absence from school, Jose pursued his baseball career.
